As an Inspection and Readiness Assist Team (IRAT), Subject Matter Expert working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will be assigned as part of our
technical work force to support Naval fleet readiness and ship modernization through INSURV Readiness Assessment Team support. The INSURV Readiness
Assessment Team support staff provides immediate response to a crisis, long-term strategic support, Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) examination
preparation and post-INSURV support. You will be expected to:
Regularly practice business acumen and perform assigned program tasks in terms of quality, cost control, and achievement of
technical, schedule, performance and contractual objectives
Keep upper management informed regarding program status and any technical, cost, schedule, or administrative problems within assigned programs
Establish, maintain and promote good customer relationships; ensure the coordination of work tasks with customer
representatives; and ensure customers are informed on status and progress of assigned technical programs
This position requires joining our team of engineers to provide direct fleet support and readiness assessments for in-service service,
non-nuclear surface ships. In this role, your responsibilities will include providing surface ship Commanding Officers and their crews with
assistance in preparing for INSURV examinations.
20 years Navy exp in a specific area of specialty
Experience as an Inspector for the US Navy Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV)
Experience as an Inspector at the Afloat Training Group or other fleet activity focusing on Pre-INSURV preparations
for fleet unit is an acceptable substitute for experience as an INSURV inspector.
Experience as a former Commanding Officer of a surface Navy ship (Desired)
Minimum Clearance: DoD Security Clearance
